Cameron Powers has been studying & performing Middle Eastern & Balkan Music for 30 years.

His new teaching materials: "Basic Maqam Teachings" can be used in a workshop format to help musicans learn the structures of the songs they hope to learn. Without a knowledge of Middle Eastern Modes it's virtually impossible to learn these pieces, or to improvise inside them.
